Just Another Day with Jessica Aguilar

Jessica Aguilar just happens to be one of those people in life that you treasure having the opportunity to know. Hard to explain or to figure out what makes her tick – This female MMA Athlete happens to be one of the warmest, most loving, most nurturing attentive individuals you could ever meet in life that has a contagious smile and magnetic personality that the youngest children to all adults just become magnetically attracted to her incredibly positive energy field. She could have been a stereo typical kindergarten school teacher. But then she has another side of her, she is also a way over the top very extreme “Type A” personality with a workaholic or better described “demon possessed” work ethic, and is driven perfectionist that all helps to make her a world class athlete. Jessica trains at ATT American Top Team’s main gym with more than 60 other professional fighters, and when other fighters and gym trainers are asked about her – they simply refuse to qualify any comment about her being their best “Woman’s” fighter – instead they praise her work ethic, and extreme focus as making her one of the toughest hardest working and most determined fighters (period) in the gym. And amazingly Jessica trains in two additional facilities on a daily basis as she maintains a grueling fulltime cardio, strength and conditioning MMA program in the early mornings in Miami, fight trains at ATT (American Top Team) in Coconut Creek with one of the best fight teams in the world for the remainder of the day, then after a short break drives to Palm Beach and spending every evening on specialized BJJ and focused fight training with her lead trainer Marcos Da Matta.

On fight nights, when Jessica enters the cage – a transformation in every sense takes over – her body language, demeanor, eye movements, every intangible/mental/personality detail about her changes– Jessica in every way becomes a calculating predator. And while she represents the highest level of professionalism and respect for her opponents – she and they all know & can feel her explosive and focused energy field peaking. Jessica literally gives new meaning to being relentlessly driven once gloves are touched. Words do not do her justice – if you have not seen Jessica fight – you are missing out on a very special opportunity – as she embodies what the sport of MMA is truly all about. |

What drives Jessica Aguilar? Some of this is just an inherent competitive spirit, but then there is the rocket fuel of motivation that comes from experiencing tragedy in life when losing her Dad at age 6 and a brother at age 16; Jessica grew up worshiping her Mother’s work ethic and dedication to raising her. Jessica soon realized that she was blessed having the opportunity in life to emerge as a true role model for others and often being recognized as a symbol for “Female Empowerment” - she exemplifies that anyone (male or female) can do extraordinary things when they focus and work hard with specific goals. Well Aguilar’s goal? Is very simple- to be the undisputed number #1 woman’s MMA fighter in the world at her weight – and to share all she can to help others live and experience their goals in life too!
